Rahu Ketu, the new comedy-fantasy featuring Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, has wrapped up its first five complete days at the box office.

Directed by Vipul Vig, Rahu Ketu hit cinemas on January 16, 2026, and has now completed five days at the box office. With an extended weekend followed by two weekdays, trade observers finally have a clearer picture of how the film is performing commercially.

As of the end of Day 5, the comedy-fantasy has earned an estimated ₹5.84 crore in gross collections across India, while its net earnings stand at approximately ₹4.89 crore. These figures are based on early tracking data compiled from theatre ticket sales nationwide, covering both weekend and weekday trends.

The film opened on a relatively soft note. On its first day, Friday, it recorded a gross of around ₹1.19 crore, with reports suggesting limited footfall and low occupancy levels in many theatres.

There was a slight uptick on Saturday. Day 2 saw collections rise to nearly ₹1.98 crore, a pattern commonly seen as weekend audiences, including families, tend to visit cinemas in greater numbers. This helped the film gain some momentum, though the jump remained moderate.

Sunday brought another marginal improvement. On Day 3, Rahu Ketu earned close to ₹2.10 crore gross. Weekend Sunday numbers often reflect early audience feedback and word-of-mouth impact, and while the growth was not dramatic, it kept the film steady during its opening stretch.

The situation changed once the weekdays began. On Monday, Day 4, earnings dropped sharply to about ₹0.57 crore. While weekday declines are expected, the dip indicated that the film was struggling to maintain strong audience interest beyond the weekend rush.

By the end of Day 5, collections had inched up but remained on the lower side overall. The cumulative gross stood at ₹5.84 crore, with net figures at ₹4.89 crore, which represents post-tax revenue.

When compared to other Bollywood releases during the same period, Rahu Ketu has seen a relatively subdued run. Competing films benefited from heavier promotions, larger star power, or stronger audience responses, making the box office environment particularly challenging. This competition has limited the film’s ability to scale up its numbers quickly.

Trade experts are expected to keep a close watch on the film’s performance over the next few days. For now, the makers will be relying on sustained word of mouth to draw more viewers. The Day 5 figures, however, highlight just how intense and crowded the Indian theatrical landscape has become, especially when multiple releases vie for audience attention.
